'Ministry of War' Launches Vox Populi Contest - Screens

by Rainier on Aug. 31, 2010 @ 2:30 p.m. PDT

In Ministry of War, players battle for conquest and territory as one of four ancient civilizations (Imperial Rome, China, Egypt, or Persia) using the game’s revolutionary combat and land-control systems.

Ministry of War is a next-gen, free-to-play, browser-based MMORTS. Players engage in real-time combat against NPC's, World Bosses, individual players and guilds for dominance in a world rocked by perpetual conflict. Join forces with other players to create massive allied legions of combined forces, then lay siege to the cities and lairs of your enemies. Train your military units, level up your heroes and troops, upgrade your armor and weaponry, and learn specialized combat skills to gain ultimate mastery in MoW battle.

The “Vox Populi” contest gives the community an opportunity to submit a quote that will be spoken by one of the villagers in the game. Quotes can be anything from a simple shout-out, to advice, to words of encouragement (or discouragement, as the case may be).  Only obscenities or griefing are off limits. The winning entry will appear in the final version of the game, along with the winner's name.

To submit a quote, visit the Ministry of War Beta Forums, where you will find a complete set of guidelines and examples. All entrants will be eligible to immediately receive a Ministry of War Beta Key,  The top five entries will be chosen by Snail Games staff on September 3rd, followed by a community vote to decide which entry will ultimately win and be included in the game.

Ministry of War is currently in Closed Beta and is an historical real-time strategy (RTS) browser-based MMO in which players battle for conquest and territory as one of four ancient civilizations (Imperial Rome, China, Egypt, or Persia) using the game’s revolutionary combat and land-control systems. The game also boasts robust Quest, Resource, Trade, and Leveling, and Guild Systems, making MoW the first of its kind among browser games. The game is free to play and requires no download, so Ministry of War can be played anywhere instantly.

Ministry is currently in Closed Beta.  Requests for beta key access can be made at MinistryofWar.com
