free-to-play online computer games publisher gamigo has acquired a 20.1% stake in Korean developer OnsOn Soft.

Patrick Streppel, Executive Board Member at gamigo: "We've had a close business relationship with OnSon Soft for years; this step will cement that further. With this strategic investment we are securing the future of Fiesta Online in Europe and will be able to make other projects a reality with their team."

OnsOn Soft developed for example the popular fantasy MMORPG Fiesta Online. With the acquisition of this share in the developer, gamigo has also secured the European and North American publishing rights for an upcoming game that will be announced at a later date.

The Seoul-based company was founded in 2004 and employs more than 60 staff members.
