Tuesday, May 8, 2012 Shipping Announcements

by Rainier on May 8, 2012 @ 4:00 p.m. PDT

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

We will update this throughout the day when new announcements become available. Read more for details ...

Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear! (PC)

Set on the Eastern Front during Operation Barbarossa, Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear! tasks players with commanding German or Russian forces between 1941-1942. The game boasts a historical roster of infantry, armor and artillery units. Players can command the board while using traditional chit-style graphics or 3D units, and they can choose between a flexible 3-D camera view or top-down 2-D view.

Datura (PSN)

Finding yourself in a mysterious forest, you navigate your way through the game by controlling your character's hand with Playstation Move technology.

You are immersed in the game’s experimental narrative, which enables you to experience the world visually and empirically — an illusion that you can touch trees, faces, and other objects.

It is through these puzzles that Datura explores an element of anxiety: was it a right choice or a wrong choice?

Prototype 2: Colossal Mayhem DLC (PS3/X360/PC)

Prototype 2's first DLC, Colossal Mayhem, features a Thermobaric Boom-Stick weapon, three force multiplier powers, and three custom skins. The force multiplier powers are: air time, antigravity field and warp vortex. The custom skins are: Heller test subject, infantry Heller and infected Heller.

The Colossal Mayhem DLC is available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 400 Microsoft points ($5) and the PlayStation Store for $4.99. Fans who purchased the Blackwatch Collector's Edition can redeem their one-time use code to download the DLC for free.

Starhawk (PS3)

The Starhawk universe is set in the distant future, out in space where factions battle over a rare resource known as Rift Energy. Emmett Graves is a hired gunslinger ostracized from society because of exposure to Rift Energy, which has left him partially mutated. Starhawk allows you to take on the role of Graves, who is drawn back to his home settlement to face a mysterious outlaw and a war band of Outcast warriors. He will find that his family is involved in the clash between the Outcast and the Rifters and must decide between those close to him and those he swore to protect.

Starhawk provides fast paced, frenetic shooter action set in the lawless frontier of space. Through the game's Build & Battle system, players can alter the battlefield by calling down structures from an orbiting drop ship in real time while blasting away at enemies in huge firefights.

Starhawk boasts a strong online multiplayer mode via PlayStation Network where users can battle head-to-head in 32-player matches, up to four-player online and offline co-operative play, and split-screen gameplay within multi-player and co-op modes.

Starhawk has been rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB.

Warlock: Master of the Arcane (PC)

Set in the universe from the Majesty series, Warlock: Master of the Arcane is a fantasy strategy game in which you are challenged to build an empire of steel and magic and unite Ardania.

The time has come to gather your forces – mundane and occult, human and monster – and march forth across the continent and compel your rivals to submit. The world isn't big enough for more than one grand wizard. Become the warlock to rule them all!

Warlock: Master of the Arcane is available for an MSRP of $19.99.
