by Rainier on Feb. 22, 2013 @ 3:47 p.m. PST

Powered by Unreal Engine 3, Painkiller Hell & Damnation re-creates the sensations and hardcore gameplay of the original Painkiller, which won praise for its fast, unique gameplay.

Hell and Damnation installment continues the hardcore fast gameplay of the original Painkiller.

Players will be able to battle it out in the beta within 5 modes including Single Player, Network Co-op, Deatchmatch and Team Deathmatch. It also features a Feedback button which links through to the Beta Forum so players can give direct feedback.

Painkiller encompasses everything that you’d want from an FPS. The gameplay is fast-paced and deadly, along with astonishing boss fights that requires the player to be tactical in order to destroy enemies.

A DLC roadmap for Painkiller Hell & Damnation has been laid out – two horrifying DLC’s have already been released and there are five more to go throughout the year. The next available is “The Clock Strikes Meat Night” which is available on Steam today for just USD 6.99/EUR 6.99/GBP 5.99.

The DLC is packed full of new enemies, a unique character set, three new single player maps, new environmental weapons, dual weapon upgrades, a new health tarot card and the single player and cooperative gameplay have also been expanded. So join Daniel Garner on his carnivorous mission to break himself free from purgatory today.

Both the publisher and developer are fully committed in creating further updates that will improve and expand PKHD to give players the best painful experience possible:

“The working relationship between ourselves and The Farm 51 is growing stronger and we’re dedicated in providing content that players can really get their teeth into,” said Klemens Kreuzer, Managing Director Nordic Games. “The Farm 51 has a great vision of what things should look like and they always exceed our expectations.”

“Working with Nordic Games is an absolute pleasure and they have really bolstered the presence of Painkiller,” said Wojciech Pazdur, Development Director at The Farm 51. “At the same time as working on a string of DLC’s we’re also excited to be a part a fantastic new project that we cannot wait to be announced.”
