by Rainier on Oct. 30, 2015 @ 10:27 a.m. PDT

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 Plus is a turn-based strategy game where you can build up a civilization from scratch with an interface designed specifically for touchscreens, or follow along with specific scenarios and see how well you fair against historical world leaders.

Civilization Revolution 2 Plus allows players to lead a civilization from the dawn of man to the modern age, and go head-to-head with history’s most intrepid leaders as they wage war, conduct diplomacy, discover new technologies, and build the most powerful empire the world has ever known in a race for ultimate supremacy.

Civilization Revolution 2 Plus is the first Civilization game to be optimized exclusively for handheld console devices, delivering new content that takes advantage of PlayStation Vita  system’s unique gaming benefits and play-anywhere capabilities. The game combines the core tactical elements of the Civilization series with intuitive controls and a friendly user interface that works with PSVita’s touch-screen and button controls. Additionally, players can enjoy three new Japanese leaders, one unique Japanese unit and five additional scenarios exclusive to the PSVita version of the game.

In one particular scenario (“Journey to the West”), you’ll use TaiZong against Saladin (AI) to capture Byzantium. The other scenarios, “Wrath of Emperor Kublai,” “Samurai Invasion of Korea,” “Z-flag Swirls,” and “Dark Clouds in the Pacific” all take place at different points in Japanese history.

And the same goes for the new Japanese leaders we introduce in this game:

  • Oda Nobunaga: Focused on medieval era/samurai bonus
  • Heihachiro Togo: Naval combat related bonuses
  • Himiko: More diplomatic related, governmental related bonuses
