'Project CARS' (ALL) Game Of The Year Edition Includes New Content - Trailer

by Rainier on March 3, 2016 @ 7:05 p.m. PST

Project CARS (Community Assisted Racing Simulation) is a crowd-funded racing game where the community participates in the development of the game.

Project CARS is the most authentic, beautiful, intense and technically-advanced racing game on the planet. Guided, tested, and approved by a passionate community of racing fans and real-life drivers, Project CARS represents the next-generation of racing simulation as the ultimate combination of fan desire and developer expertise.

Project CARS gives players the freedom to choose their own destiny - whether that's starting as a karting prodigy and going on to become an Formula champion within 3 years, to return year after year and defend your GT title against all on-comers, or to prove your dominance across six other distinct and popular motorsports.

Create a driver, pick from a huge variety of motorsports, and shift into high gear to chase a number of Historic Goals and ultimate recognition in the Hall Of Fame. Then test your skills online either in competitive fully-loaded race weekends, leaderboard-based time challenges, or continually-updated community events.

Featuring the largest track roster of any recent racing game with a ground-breaking dynamic time of day & weather system, world-class graphics and handling, deep tuning & pit stop functionality, and support for Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus, Project CARS leaves the competition behind in the dust.

Featuring all the elements that made the original core experience a runaway success, the Game of the Year Edition will add even more to what is already the definitive racing sim:

An additional 50+ cars (125 total)

  • 4 tracks (35 unique locations, 100+ layouts total)
  • 60+ community-created liveries
  • 500+ features and improvements that have been added since launch

In addition, the Game Of The Year Edition will feature two distinctive and exclusive items:

  • The iconic Nürburgring Combined Nordschleife+ GP circuit
  • 2 exclusive vehicles to Project CARS from Pagani Automobili, both unveiled today at this year’s Geneva Motor Show – the Zonda Revolucion, and Huayra BC

“Almost five years ago, we started on a journey to create the most authentic, most beautiful, intense, and technically-advanced racing game on the planet. The game that launched back in May of last year was therefore the ultimate culmination of our own experience making accomplished racing games for over a decade, along with invaluable input from real-world racing drivers who gave us unprecedented insight into the motorsports world, and the wishes and desires of the racing community through our equity crowd-funding platform called the WMD Portal which allowed fans and players to test the game from day one, and who gave us feedback and guidance every day thereafter.” said Ian Bell, Head of Studio.

All of the Game of The Year Edition content will be made available for existing copies of Project CARS as well.

Project CARS Game of the Year Edition will be available in spring 2016 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
