Tiscali Games today posted the first movie trailer (4,5 MB, DivX 4.12 format) from the upcoming sci-fi FPS Star Trek: Elite Force II from Ritual Entertainment and Activision, which contains 71 seconds gameplay footage and game features.

We received a 18MB windows media trailer showing of some crazy dudes driving in fast speed on the highway, connecting their xbox's together between their car's and playing Halo.. The movie runs for 3 min and 47 seconds. Pretty funny clip, read more for the links!

'Tribes: Fast Attack' Gets Canned

Planettribes reports that Tribes: Fast Attack has been cancelled. In its place is a free upgrade to Tribes 2, or for new players a new version of the game that costs $10. The two additions to Tribes 2 for this new release is the Comp mod and Team Rabbit. These new games have tweaked physics, putting them a little closer to Tribes 1, especially Team Rabbit.

"Finally Stop Press news is that Breed, Brat Designs shooter has suffered some big slippage. We were planning on bringing you an in depth look next month, but the games now been put back to Spring 2003."

Shrapnel Games To Publish 'Aaron Hall's Dungeon Odyssey'

This one eluded us yesterday but Shrapnel Games announced a new offering in their partnership with Malfador Machinations to publish Aaron Hall's Dungeon Odyssey today. Aaron Hall's Dungeon Odyssey brings the unlimited gameplay of his previous Space Empires games to the RPG market.

Activision Signs Skateboarder Bob Burnquist

Activision, Inc. announced today that the company has signed world-renowned skateboarder Bob Burnquist to an exclusive multi-year video game licensing and sponsorship agreement. Burnquist will continue to appear alongside Tony Hawk in Activision O2's flagship action sports franchise, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, which was the single largest independent U.S. video game franchise during calendar 2001, according to NPD. Additionally, as an Activision-sponsored athlete, Burnquist's helmet and skateboard deck will feature Activision O2 logos beginning at the 2002 Summer Gravity Games on NBC.

Today we scored another bunch of screens from UbiSoft's upcoming expansion pack for the multi-award winning WWII combat flight simulation title, IL-2 Sturmovik. IL2-Sturmovik: The Forgotten Battles will include two new maps for Finland and Hungary, expanding the battlefield for both single and multiplayer modes. It will also feature more than 20 new single player missions and ten cooperative multiplayer missions. AREA 51 Announced For PS2/Xbox/GC

Stan Winston Studio, home of four-time Academy Award-winning special effects legend Stan Winston, and Midway Games Inc. a leading software industry publisher and developer, have teamed in a development association for Midway's action-adventure videogame tentatively titled, AREA 51. In addition, Stan Winston Productions has secured the exclusive motion picture rights for the project. AREA 51 is currently in development and scheduled to ship in 2004 for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo GameCube.

Delta Force : Black Hawk Down - MultiPlayer Beta

Announced a few days ago but then delayed NovaLogic has now released the multiplayer beta of "Delta Force: Black Hawk Down". This beta/demo allows you to try out their upcoming tactical shooter set in Somalia. A mere 46.8 MB download it lets you try Team Deathmatch on one daytime map. The demo is only available for one week (from Friday Aug 2nd through Friday August 9th) and will expire automagically on Aug 16th, so grab it NOW!
