'Crackdown' (X360) No More DLCs

Crackdown pushes the action-driving hybrid genre into the next gen with the introduction of a true 3-dimensional persistent playground, co-op gameplay and an extensive prop interaction system all while taking place in a massive and highly-stylized urban center. Realtime Worlds community rep Chris Dye revealed that there will be no more Crackdown DLCs, the studio has moved on to APB and other yet unannounced projects.

'Lumines Supernova' (PSN) Revealed

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu reveals that Q Entertainment is working on a new installment in their Lumines franchise, coming to the PlayStation Network later this year. Lumines Supernova features new skins, stages, and a new Dig Dug mode where you have to clean preset blocks off the screen in order to win.

'Dissidia: Final Fantasy' (PSP) - New Screens

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is an all-new title in the FF franchise, although it's not part of the compilation of Final Fantasy VIII or the Ivalice Alliance. Not a standard RPG, it's labeled a dramatic progressive action title, and Tetsuya Nomura, known for Kingdom Hearts, has signed on to be the game's character designer.

Secret 'Halo 3' (X360) Achievements Revealed

When Microsoft mysteriously pulled Bungie's Halo announcement from E3, the now indie studio confirmed that it was working on new Halo 3 multiplayer content, and confirmed new Halo 3 content would be shown at PAX. While there was no official announcement, a Halo 3 Mythic screens was spotted on some units on the exhibit floor, and a sneaky gamer who took a peek at the dashboard noticed 79 achievements, 30 more than the original.

Korean Online Games to Exceed $1.7 Billion by 2011

A new “Games Market in Korea” study finds that approximately 67% of Korean users in their 20s purchase paid digital content, with one of the fastest growing segments being casual games, that are free-to-play, easy-to-learn and can be played in “micro-slices” of time of ten minutes or less. Current forecast indicates the online games market in South Korea will exceed $1.7 billion by 2011, driven by new releases and an ingrained gaming culture.
