The latest of Japanese magazine Famitsu reveals that From Software is working on a new installment in the Tenchu franchise. After the rather disappointing Tenchu Z, developer K2, who has been acquired by SEGA, has been replaced by Acquire, responsible for the first two installments in the series. No further details were mentioned, but chances that the Wiimote will be used are great, and it is currently scheduled for release in Japan on Oct. 23.

A study by an
Australian consumer agency revealed that videogame consoles and plasma flat-screen TVs are power hungry appliances, even when they are on stand-by. Top of the list is the PlayStation 3, which according to the study would cost almost five times more than it would take to run a refrigerator for the same yearly period. Topping off the list are plasma TVs, desktop computers, Xbox 360, laptops, stereo systems and DVD players.
