Linden Lab Names Don Traeger To Strategic Advisory Board

Linden Lab announced today that it has named interactive entertainment industry veteran Don Traeger to its Strategic Advisory Board. With a career spanning more than 20 years, Traeger brings his extensive knowledge and nbackground in developing top-selling games to Linden Lab, as the company continues to grow and evolve Second Life, its rapidly expanding online society that launched this past June.

A new Time of Defiance Client 4.477 is now available for download.. Here is a clip from the new features:

New Intelligence at the Eighth House. You can now find a random island belonging to a specific player, a specific player's score, ranking and total number of islands. There is also intelligence for total number of unclaimed islands remaining. Note that intelligence will be purchased with water first, moss if you can't afford the water.

Atari Reveals 'Mission: Impossible - Operation Surma' (Console)

Atari is bringing all the action and intrigue of the "Mission: Impossible" movie franchise to video games with "Mission: Impossible - Operation Surma" (been known for a while) for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and the Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance. Developed by Atari's Paradigm Entertainment and scheduled for release in November, "Mission: Impossible -- Operation Surma" provides players with a chance to become IMF super agent Ethan Hunt in the stealth action game of the year.

September 26, 2003, will definitely mark the German release of the new and much awaited 3D real time strategy game No Man’s Land from the Karlsruhe Publisher CDV Software Entertainment AG. Small change-overs in the logistics of individual trade partners led to the one week delay. In Great Britain, however, the game will be appearing earlier than expected.
