'Samurai Warriors 2' (PS2) Coming To Xbox 360

Latest issue of Japanese Famitsu has word that Koei will bring its beat'em to the Xbox 360, scheduled for release in Japan this summer. Samurai Warriors 2 will feature several changes compared to the original. You will be able to select from 20 characters each offering different ways of fighting, no load times when the action changes from interior to exterior battles, and new combo configurations and better special attacks.

Last week Ridge Racer 7 was revealed, and the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu now has confirmation that Namco is bringing Tekken 6 to the PS3. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (X360/PC) Coming To PSP/PS3 ?

Various online sources are claiming that a leaked Bethesda release schedule reveals that The Elder Scrolls IV is headed for Sony's next-gen PS3 console, as well as its PSP, and would be scheduled for November 2006 (thanks Modojo). When contacted, Bethesda's PR guru Pete Hines said there were no announced plans to bring Oblivion to any platforms other than PC or Xbox 360. This doesn't mean it's not true because if it were announced, it would not be a rumor. Bethesda has not yet released its E3 lineup, so that might shed some light on the matter ...

EA Settles Engineer Class Action Lawsuit on Overtime Compensation

Electronic Arts today announced a settlement on overtime wages for current and former programmers of its California studios. Under the agreement, claims will be dismissed, and EA will make a $14.9 million payment to cover claims by the class members, plaintiffs' attorney fees, incentive payments, and administrative costs.

An EA community update reveals details on the next Battlefield 2 v1.3 patch, which will add a Co-op Mode, allowing you to play singeplayer levels on the Internet and LAN with both AI controlled bots and human players, and also allows you to send request for air dropping vehicles at your location. The new patch will of course also fix a few bugs, crashes and add several gameplay tweaks.

Oklahoma Senate Unanimously Approves Video Game Bill

According to GamePolitics, Oklahoma senators unanimously passed HB3004 yesterday, 47-0, a bill which considers games and pornography to be in the same category. This bill amends an existing law, which prohibits anything "harmful to minors," to encompass "inappropriate violence." The bill also unanimously passed through the Oklahoma house in March, so its next stop is the desk of Governor Brad Henry. If Henry signs it, HB3004 will become law as early as November 1, 2006.
