Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, sequel to Naughty Dog's 2007 PS3-exclusive action/adventure game, revolves around 13th century explorer Marco Polo, putting the focus on story, stealth gameplay and a free climbing mechanic.

While official word was scheduled for tomorrow, script writer Rob Yescombe spilled the beans early as he confirmed that the Crysis developer has acquired Free Radical. Known for its Timesplitters series and most recently Ubisoft's HAZE, the UK-based studio got itself in a spat of trouble last year and was forced to close down. Whether Crytek bought the studio only for its assets/IP or will let it restart and rehire, is unclear at this point. More details to come tomorrow ....

The PC Gaming Alliance, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to driving the worldwide growth of PC gaming, announced the addition of representatives from Capcom and The Guildhall at Southern Methodist University (SMU) to their Board of Directors.

Zen Studios announced The Punisher: No Mercy coming exclusively to PlayStation Network. For the first time on consoles, you’ll see the Marvel Universe through a first-person perspective in some intense arena-based multiplayer action, complete with characters like Jigsaw, Bushwacker, Barracuda and even Silver Sable.

A little while back Good Old Games signed an agreement with FireFly Studios to add its historic RTS series, starting with Stronghold and now it has also added Stronghold: Crusader. Also added is JoWood's third-person role-playing game Gothic 2 Gold.

World of Cars Online is a 3D online world based on the hit movie CARS. Players will be able to take an amazing ride into a wacky world full of fun and adventure by designing their own car, becoming a racing legend, making new friends, and playing mini-games with Lightning McQueen and the rest of the cast.

EA's Q3 2008 financial results reveal a slight increase in revenue, but higher than expected expenses and losses on investments resulted in a $641 million net loss, compared to 2007's $33 million. In addition to the previously announced The Sims 3 and Dragon Age: Origins delays, EA is also pushing back The Godfather II until fiscal 2010 (April 1 - June 30). EA had already announced it would close nine studios and lay off 10% of its employees, but in light of the actual results it will now close 3 additional locations and dismiss 11% of its staff. In the follow up conference call, EA CEO John Riccitiello revealed that Dead Space is coming to the Wii, while early next year we can expect Bad Company 2 (X360/PS3) and Mass Effect 2 (X360/PC).

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, aka SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection, will feature the best first-party games from SEGA’s venerable 16-bit Genesis years as well as bonus content from its 8-bit Master System and 1980s arcade era games library.
