Mass Effect invites players to take the role of Commander Shepard as they set out on an adventure to save the galaxy from imminent destruction. Wrought with treachery, heroism, difficult decisions and a universe filled with unique and colorful species, Mass Effect delivers a truly compelling storyline. Producer Avi Arad, known for X-Men, Spider-Man and most recently Iron Man movies, has optioned the rights to EA/Bioware's Mass Effect. Avi Arad has recently started his own production company and has been getting into videogame adaptations, starting with Capcom's Lost Planet.

TECMO And KOEI Merger Details Coming in Two Months

After TECMO turned down a friendly take over offer from Square Enix it revealed early plans to join up with KOEI instead, and has now issued a statement that it will reveal a merger roadmap in two months. A committee has been formed to oversee the business of the two newly-merged companies, which is expected to produce a concrete integration scheme for unifying the two companies in the next two months (thanks Andreas).
