Through extensive use of green screen technology similar to Legendary Pictures' 300, the studio hopes to bring the fallen aquatic utopia of Rapture to the big screen but whether it will go beyond the negotiations stage remains to be seen.

Ever since Microsoft decided to go with HD-DVD for the Xbox 360, there has been a "format war" with Sony. With Warner's decision last week to go Blu-ray exclusive, many industry insiders predict it's only a matter of time for the score to be settled. According to Reuters, Xbox group marketing manager Albert Penello stated that, "It should be consumer choice; and if that's the way they vote, that's something we'll have to consider." Microsoft and U.S. Army Team Up for 'Halo 3' (X360) Tournament

Microsoft and the U.S. Army announced that U.S. gamers will have a chance to prove their skills in the first ever Halo 3 Championship Tournament, hosted exclusively on Xbox Live. Registration will begin in March, and the actual tournament kicks off in April 2008, preceded by Basic Combat Training exercises.
