Avi Arad has recently started his own production company and has been getting into videogame adaptations, starting with Capcom's Lost Planet.

After TECMO turned down a friendly take over offer from Square Enix it revealed early plans to join up with KOEI instead, and has now issued a statement that it will reveal a merger roadmap in two months. A committee has been formed to oversee the business of the two newly-merged companies, which is expected to produce a concrete integration scheme for unifying the two companies in the next two months (thanks Andreas).
