Today Nintendo added two classics and two WiiWare titles to the Wii's Shop Channel. Wii owners with online access can redeem Wii Points to download the following titles: Magnetica Twist (Wiiware), and Fatal Fury 2 (VC).

SCEA announced details of its v2.40 PS3 system software update, which will deliver XMB access in-game, enabling PS3 users to connect and communicate with other gamers seamlessly while playing most games. New reports from market research company DFC Intelligence forecasts worldwide video game industry revenue to reach $57 billion in 2009, including revenue from video game hardware and software, consoles, handhelds, PC games (including MMOs). The Last Remnant is Square Enix's latest single-player RPG game, powered by the Unreal Engine 3, scheduled to be released in Japan and North America simultaneously, with two main characters, each one appealing to a specific territory.

The Dualshock 3 wireless controller will be available at European retailers July 4, 2008 for £39.99. Incorporating both the rumble feature and motion sensing SIXAXIS technologies for a more realistic, interactive and intuitive gaming experience, the Dualshock 3 replaces the SIXAXIS controller as it's being phased out.
