'The Darkness 2' (PS3/X360) Revealed

Originally licensed by Majesco, but sold off to 2K Games, The Darkness is based on Top Cow's comic book series, and developed by Starbreeze Studios. Knowing its background it comes as no surprise that during the TOP COW discussion panel at this weekend's NY Comic-con, it was revealed that The Darkness 2 is in the works, "We can't say Darkness and video game sequel in the same sentence, so Darkness. Wink. Sequel."

Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictitious continent reminiscent of 1930s Europe - divided in two and ruled by the Empire and the Federation. The game follows a hero named Welkin and his fellow soldiers of the Federation’s 7th Platoon as they engage in a series of epic battles.

The Secret Files: Tunguska is a point-and-click adventure game based on the mysterious Tunguska phenomenon that occurred in July 1908, in which the Siberian region of Tunguska was engulfed in an inferno of flames that turned everything into debris and ashes.

Activision Shuts Down Underground Development Studio

Following this week's Enemy Territory: Quake Wars preview event, Activision has confirmed that it is shutting down its internal Underground Development studio. Acquired by Activision in 2002, the studio previously known as Z-Axis, known for titles such as Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX and Aggressive Inline, is finishing up the PS3 port of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. The 45 employees are being given the opportunity to work at other Activision studios.

The C&C series continues to thrive with Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath. As the expansion pack to C&C 3 Tiberium Wars, this RTS game returns to the Tiberium universe with Kane at the center of an epic new single player campaign. EA has released the special bonus tournament multiplayer maps which were previously exclusive to people who had pre-ordered the expansion.

'Siren: New Translation' (PS3) Revealed - Trailer

It's time to get creepy again as Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced that is developing a remake of the PS2 horror game Forbidden Siren. Currently only scheduled for release in Japan on July 24th, Siren: New Translation will have a demo on PSN Japan next week. No word on when we may see it in North America or Europe yet.
