Disney Online announced the creation of a new team that will focus on building, operating and publishing an expansive line-up of games, virtual worlds and online social communities, Disney Online Studios, lead by newly appointed senior vice president Steve Parkis.

The Golden Horde, using Ancient Wars: Sparta's AWE engine, is a historical 3D RTS based on real events that took place at the beginning of XII century, the times of mighty warriors and military leaders whose power and daring instilled courage in common soldiers.

SunAge is a futuristic RTS featuring 3 different races each with their arsenal of units, buildings and upgrades, taking place across 2 different worlds. This v1.08 patch adds several new enhancements, an auto-updater, bug fixes and above all, new multiplayer features.

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is an Online Action RPG, mixing a deep, story-driven single-player experience and a massive and brutal multiplayer end-game brings forth the ultimate representation of the Age of Conan.

SEGA's Sonic the hedgehog races towards new territory in this Bioware-created RPG, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. Apart from the fact that it will appear on the NDS system during 2008, little details are available at this point.

THQ and Blue Fang Games, known for the Zoo Tycoon series, announced that they have entered into a development agreement for a brand new videogame property for Wii, DS and PC, scheduled for release in fiscal 2010.

While both Microsoft and Epic Games are currently attending the Game Developers Conference 2008, GamePro is speculating that the Windows giant might be looking to acquire the Gears of War/Unreal Tournament developers for aprox $1 billion, mainly out of interest for its Unreal Engine 3. While it is pure speculation at this point, Microsoft is having its briefing Wednesday morning, where it is expected to make several announcements, and Epic on Thursday afternoon. Acquisition? Gears of War 2? New Xbox 360 version? Blu ray ? We'll find out soon?

UPDATE: Not exactly denying it, Epic's Mark Rein responded saying that if GamePro wants to speculate, they should start at $2 billion, Epic isn't that cheap.
