SCi announced that they have signed a distribution deal with Midway to bring two of its upcoming titles to the US market. Both Constantine and Battlestations: Midway will be distributed in North America by THQ, Constantine is expected on PS2 and Xbox in early 2005, while Midway is scheduled for summer 2005 on PC and consoles.

THQ today announced that it has acquired Blue Tongue Entertainment Limited. The Australia-based studio recently developed THQ's Polar Express for the PS2, PC and Gamecube, and is currently developing two cross-platform releases for late 2005.

THQ has released its financial figures for its fiscal second quarter 2005 although sales were a little less than same period last year, they came in better than expected mainly due to strong sales from titles like Dawn Of War, Full Spectrium Warrior and WWE Day of Reckoning. Most interesting though is the announcement of Full Spectrum Warrior coming to PS2 (expected March 2005) and slight delay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl from Q1 2005 to May 2005, and Pandemic's Destroy All Humans from Q1 2005 to April 2005. THQ also opened a new development studio in San Diego by the name of Concrete Games.

Nickelodeon and THQ today announced that they have extended their long-standing master interactive licensing agreement through 2010. The exclusive worldwide partnership grants THQ rights to continue to publish games based on all existing and future animated TV and movie properties targeting kids ages 6-14 across all viable game systems.

Seems that the previous reports stating Take2 had signed Juiced after the demise of Acclaim are not true at all. A federal bankruptcy judge last night approved a tentative agreement to allow bankrupt Acclaim Entertainment to sell the rights of its anticipated street racing game "Juiced" to California video game publisher THQ. THQ Germany has confirmed that they will be having an open multiplayer beta test for GSC World's upcoming FPS 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl.' As a "stalker" exploring the vast "Exclusion Zone" to procure artifacts for the black market, players must survive mutant creatures, dangerous anomalous areas, competing "stalkers" and a military charged with quarantining the 30 square kilometer area. A specific start date has not been announced although THQ does mention that it will be open up the MP beta to 5.000 people before its official Q1 2005 release date.

Pixar Animation Studios and THQ Inc. today announced an exclusive multi-property publishing agreement granting THQ the interactive rights to four upcoming Pixar animated feature films.
THQ, publisher of such upcoming titles as 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl' and 'The Punisher', today announced operating results for its fiscal 2005 first quarter and moved earnings per share guidance to $1.10, the high end of its previous range, for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2005. THQ today announced the release of Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights for the Xbox videogame system from Microsoft. Based on the classic Scooby-Doo! TV series, the game features original characters and villains with the celebrity voice talent of Don Knotts, Tim Conway and Tim Curry. The Xbox version is now available at retail outlets nationwide for a suggested retail price of $19.95. Scooby-Doo! THQ today announced that it secured publishing rights to ATV Offroad Fury 2 for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system for Europe, Australia and other international territories. The game, developed by THQ's Rainbow Studios and owned by Sony Computer Entertainment America, is the second installment in one of the most successful North American PlayStation 2 franchises to date. ATV Offroad Fury 2 is scheduled to release in international territories in September 2003.
