Revealed a little while ago, THQ officially announced the next standalone chapter in Relic's RTS franchise, WH 40K: Dawn of War - Soulstorm. THQ announced that it has entered into an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with Games Workshop for the Warhammer 40,000 franchise through 2013. The deal covers PC and all handheld and console platforms, and includes a Warhammer MMO.

THQ has expanded its development agreement with tabletop game publisher Games Workshop, to not only make RTS titles based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe, but extend into the MMO market, according to this
GameSpot interview. Initial indications were that Relic would be taking on the project, but as it turns out Vigil Games will be taking on the task.
