Stardock has released a free v2.0 update adding new features to its latest expansion pack Twilight of the Arnor as well as expands on features found in the Dark Avatar expansion pack.

Galactic Civilizations II Gold is the retail version of GalCiv 2 and the Dark Avatar expansion, eliminating of two of the game’s alien races but introducing several new ones. This demo includes all features from the game+ expansion, but restricted to 150 turns, medium-Sized Galaxies Only, hard coded to the mid-range settings on all setup options, no scenarios, no custom maps, and playable up to 4 players per game (i.e. 3 computer-controlled).
