Big Huge Game has released the first patch for its 3D RTS Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, bringing your retail game to v2.0. Only available through the in-game auto-updater, the patch addresses multiplayer issues, fixes bugs and crashes, adjusts game balancing, adds new features, and a new 4-player map Inferno.

an EA representative revealed that, not surprisingly, an add-on for the PC edition of Battle for Middle-earth 2 is in the works. The Rise of the Witch-king is set prior to the War of the Ring, and will feature new armor, buildings, and of course units. While it seems that not too many graphical changes have been made, new powers showed off summoning an ice wolf walking on two legs. More details should follow later this week...

Microsoft has released an updated demo for Big Huge Games' 3D RTS allowing you to try out the previous content (part of the Alin campaign, 2 skirmish maps ), but now with optimized gfx, AI and a 3rd map Battle for the Core.
UPDATE: Microsoft distributed a corrupt install, which has now been replaced with the working copy. We also have a demo fix in case you do not want to download the big whopper all over again.

Tomorrow Big Huge Games will release a demo for its upcoming RTS sequel Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, promising to immerses players in a unique new fantasy world embroiled in an epic war between the forces of Magic and Technology.
