Ubi Soft announced today a worldwide deal with 20th Century Fox to develop the popular game Aliens vs. Predator for the first time ever on the Game Boy Advance hand-held video game system. Ubi Soft has acquired the rights to develop Aliens vs. Predator until 2003. Aliens vs. Predator is a successful gaming franchise, having sold over 1 million copies on PC worldwide.

THQ Inc. and SEGA Corporation today announced the next round of titles in their exclusive, 16 title Game Boy Advance co-publishing agreement. VIRTUA TENNIS™ (working title) is scheduled for release in late 2002, while CRAZY TAXI™ (working title), SUPER MONKEY BALL™ (working title) and PHANTASY STAR™ COLLECTION (working title) are scheduled for early 2003 release. These titles are in addition to the previously announced six games the two companies are releasing through the first half of 2003.

Ubi Soft Entertainment today announced an exclusive deal with Natsume Inc. to exclusively distribute four titles based on Corus Entertainment's Nelvana's Medabots animated Series, which is currently airing in Canada on YTV, Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. and in the U.S. on Fox Kids, Saturday mornings at 10 and on ABC Family, weekdays at 8:30 a.m. The titles to be released will be Medabots AX: Metabee Version and Medabots AX: Rokusho Version on the Game Boy Advance in Summer 2002. Currently in production at UK-based developers, Graphic State, the futuristic flight title is due for release in May of this year. BAM! Entertainment today announced that it has obtained the rights to publish id Software’s Wolfenstein 3D for the Game Boy Advance. Originally developed and released for the PC in 1992, Wolfenstein 3D has become one of the most critically acclaimed and widely recognized gaming franchises ever, including a 1995 induction into Computer Gaming World’s Gaming Hall of Fame. Wolfenstein 3D for the Game Boy Advance is a joint development effort between id Software and Dallas-based studio Stalker Entertainment.

The Power Rangers TV show celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2002 with the release of its new series, “Power Rangers Wild Force.” The show airs Fridays at 8:00 AM ET/PT on ABC Family. THQ’s Game Boy Advance title based on “Power Rangers Wild Force” from BVS, formerly Saban, will mark the third installment of Power Rangers for the Nintendo handheld systems since 2000.
