Last night was a bit busy due to a bunch of flights being delayed, so I had to wait for an extra hour at the airport for an incoming flight. It postponed all the other plans for the evening.
Midnight dinner, with a few glasses of wine resulted in falling asleep for the rest of the night, waking up at noon, going to see
Paul, which was quite entertaining. It was filled with loads of cursing, nerd humor and a weed-smoking alien.
Later tonight, we are going to go see Kevin Smith, so to sum it up, our day will be filled with nothing but profanity, just the way we like it!

Happy Friday!
Two days of Microsoft madness are over! We saw lots of good stuff from a variety of publishers/developers for either PC, X360 or XBLA.
Beyond Good & Evil HD looks nice,
Fable III on PC and in 3-D looks amazing,
Halo: Reach Defiant Map Pack was quite fun,
Homefront had me glued to the screen for almost an hour,
Crysis 2 in 3-D was spectacular, and, of course, you've already read
our Gears Of War 3 coverage.
We've got some interviews coming with Epic's Cliff B. as well as Lester "Cole Train" Speight, so keep an eye out for them in the next few days.
Not sure what the plans are for this weekend, but they include watching "Unknown" and "The Eagle."

Sony got itself in a pickle yesterday. The hacker renowned for jail-breaking the iPhone managed to figure out the the security key that Sony is using for its PS3 authentication. This also turns out to be the sole key for all code signing, games and PSN — the whole nine yards. Now people can make their own homebrew software and sign it, and the PS3 will accept it as legit. Obviously the first thought that comes to mind would be for them to change the key, but that would render all old titles incompatible. Sony issued a cease and desist order to the hacker but managed to foul that up by not signing all the documents, so none of it has any legal standing. By filing paperwork in court, Sony then also listed all security keys, making them a matter of the public record. Way to go ...
A Carnegie Mellon University Computer Science professor exercised his free speech and
put up a mirror of the entire ordeal, daring Sony to take action.

What was supposed to be merely a nap turned into an all-night snooze-fest. What's up with that? Alarm set and everything, all I did was pinch it off. How useless!
Yesterday I watched Jennifer's Body, which wasn't exactly super, but not all that bad either. I'm sure the many make-out sessions and girl-on-girl scenes had some redeeming value. We also watched Glee, House, The Good Wife, and Stargate Universe. At least we had a productive night, I guess ....

Memorial Day weekend, formerly known as
Decoration Day, commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. It's also our excuse to troll The History Channel or A&E looking for war movies that we've seen a dozen times before.
Since we've already seen
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the only other movie opening this weekend is
Sex and the City 2, but we'll pass on that. However, on Monday, some friends were wise enough to invite us to their BBQ, so I'm already looking forward to that. Cold beer and some steak — sounds like a plan to me!

Two more days of GDC, and we're home free for a few more months until E3, not counting Wonder-Con in early April. Got a busy day ahead of us, and Saturday will probably be spent just walking around the exhibit, saying our goodbyes to people.

Earlier this week, CrimeCraft finally received a major update, not only fixing a nasty virtual memory error that's been plaguing the game since beta, but also adding a new (huge and awesome) 32-player map and a feature for daily tournaments. It's a long overdue, but excellent, update (so far).
