Many people in the gaming community may not know Dave Arneson, who was best known for co-creating Dungeons & Dragons/Advanced D&D with Gary Gygax, who also passed away a little over a year ago. Their work inspired many RPG video games such as Bioware's Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights, Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls series and more. Suffering from health problems, Arneson passed away at the age of 61.

While Atari isn't exactly flourishing financially, it's still not as bad off as Midway and has been on a spending spree, signing a slew of titles in the past few months. At its Atari Live press event in London today, Infogrames president Phil Harrison revealed that the French publisher plans on bringing back several of its key, but dormant, franchise in the future. While there was nothing to announce just yet, we can expect new installments in the Baldur's Gate, Dungeons & Dragons and Test Drive franchises.

Turbine has launched the sixth free content update to D&D Online. The Thirteenth Eclipse adds new regions, an increased level cap, a 12-player raid, prototype crafting system and more monsters, spells, magic items, and traditional dungeons to the game.
