Citing "various factors affecting the running of our company," Atomic Planet Entertainment (APE) has entered into administration and is no more. Founded in 2000 by brothers Darren and Jason Falcus and previously involved with Acclaim Studios, APE developed over 30 titles for various platforms and publishers, such as Taito Legends, Miami Vice, Jackie Chan Adventures, Aero the Acro-Bat, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown, and Mega Man Anniversary Collection.

This summer, Mountain Dew will launch Game Fuel in two World of Warcraft-inspired flavors: Alliance Blue (wild fruit flavor) and Horde Red (citrus cherry flavor), available for a limited time only. The WoW Game Fuel will launch this summer at your local 7-Eleven store, quite possibly alongside copies of the game.

Former Ensemble Studios programmer Dusty Monk has launched Windstorm Studios. No formal announcement has been made yet, but it was revealed that the independent studio is working on a new MMO. A big fan of titles such as Ultima Online, EverQuest, and World of Warcraft, Monk wants to create an MMO that breaks the mold of depressing postapocalyptic titles with gray streets beneath gray skies, killing gray zombies, and hints at a game with cities of glass and steel, and most importantly, flying cars. Previously, Monk has worked on such titles as Age of Empires, Halo Wars, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing and the canceled Halo MMO.
