Microsoft Corp. today announced that six world-class design studios plan to create exclusive games for the Xbox video game system, all of which will be published under the Microsoft label. The game companies, which join 18 other studios that are creating first-party games for Microsoft, are Blitz Games Ltd., Curly Monsters Ltd., Double Fine Productions Inc., Radical Entertainment Inc., Vision Scape Interactive Inc. and Yeti Interactive. THQ Inc. today announced Scooby-Doo based on the upcoming motion picture for Game Boy Advance. The game, scheduled for release in conjunction with this summer’s highly anticipated, live-action movie, is based on the mystery-solving adventures of Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma. BAM! Entertainment today announced that it will publish Way of the Samurai for the Sony PlayStation 2. Way of the Samurai, a 3D action-adventure game, is a weapons-based combat game with an interesting story element that follows a sizeable cast of characters. TDK today announced that "Dinotopia: The Timestone Pirates" for the Game Boy Advance will ship in April 2002. Ubi Soft Entertainment has signed a worldwide licensing deal with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group to bring the children’s animated TV series, The Mummy, to the Game Boy Advance hand-held video game system. The game really revolves around prestige and you'll have to spend a lot of prestige if you want to create an uber superhero. Prestige is used for the whole ball of wax. You'll need it for your five basic stats (Strength, Speed, Agility, Endurance & Energy), your special attributes (special strengths and weaknesses -- more on that in a bit) and on the actual powers you'll want your character to have.
