'Legends of Wrestling II' Legendary Wrestlers (All)

by Thomas on Oct. 1, 2002 @ 12:00 p.m. PDT

The greatest UK wrestlers will, for the first time ever, be immortalised as Acclaim Entertainment today announces the inclusion of legendary wrestlers Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Mick McManus and Kendo Nagasaki in Legends of Wrestling II. Out on all next-generation consoles in November, the UK greats join an already breathtaking cast of characters including Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner and Jerry "The King" Lawler.

"Although Legends of Wrestling II features an awesome line-up, the opportunity to sign the four greatest UK wrestlers was too good to refuse," said Ned Browning, European Brand Manager. "Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks were two of the biggest names in UK sport during the 1980s and we're hoping their inclusion, along with Mick and Kendo will allow gamers to re-live the great days of prime-time Saturday afternoon wrestling."

Using archive ITV footage, Acclaim Studios, Salt Lake has re-created every minute detail giving the game a level of realism and authenticity very rarely witnessed in video games. Character intros, costumes and signature moves have all been added and, just like watching the real thing, the crowd becomes a major part of proceedings as the action heats-up. Hear the crowd chant "Easy, Easy" as Big Daddy launches into his infamous 'Splashdown' or bellowing jeers as Nagasaki wipes out his opponent with his rib-crushing 'Kamikaze Crash'.

Legends of Wrestling II will offer many exciting new features, including:

More than 65 of the greatest wrestlers of all time including UK greats Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Mick McManus and Kendo Nagasaki;
