Gamers will be immersed into a world of terror that comes vividly to life in JowooD Productions latest PC title AquaNox, which utilizes NVIDIA's innovative new technology GeForce3. Aquanox, which is due for release in March 2002 is set in the ocean after Earth's surface has been shattered by nuclear warfare. This underwater, action shooter is one of the first to demonstrate GeForce3's enhanced graphics with photo-realistic environments, creating a visually stunning world submerged under the sea.

Gamers play the role of Emerald "Dead Eye" Flint, the mercenary with many talents and connections in the underwater world. Flint faces horrifying creatures and ancient gods that were once sealed in the oceanic caves. In this dangerous yet beautiful new world, the gamer will discover glittering underwater cities.

Players will pilot an underwater ship that manoeuvres through craggy reefs. The game includes upgrades for the underwater vehicle to enhance firepower, shields and speed. Powerful plasma guns and enhanced weapons aside, AquaNox relies on strategy and carefully measured tactics. The submarine can be piloted in a sniper mode, where the ship shuts off its engine and glides undetected through enemy sonar. Players can also fire decoy missiles to distract the enemy torpedoes and send them in the wrong direction.

Managing Director of JoWooD Productions UK Ltd, Vip Patel said:"AquaNox provides a combination of addictive gameplay and graphically superior visuals which are a treat to the eye."

Features for AquaNox include:

  • Visually stunning 3D underwater environment which fully utilises the Geforce3 technology
  • With eight-player multiplayer support over Lan and Internet, AquaNox offers intricate multifaceted game play to keep the player addicted
  • 40-plus underwater vehicles with abundant upgrades to maximise the players firepower, protective shields and speed
  • Epic storyline extended over 30 missions for hours of entertaining gameplay
  • In addition to the low learning curve that makes it easy for beginners to get into the game, old pros will also find themselves faced with a real challenge during the exciting battle scenes

AquaNox has a RRP of £29.99 and will be available from March 15th 2002.
