Rage, one of the UK's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, today announces that it has set up a new internal development division to manage Rage’s growing catalogue of externally developed projects. The new division will also seek out further titles across all major formats for Rage to publish internationally.

Feargus Carroll, formerly studio manager at Rage’s Sheffield studio, will head up the new division and report directly to Colin Bell, Group Development Director at Rage.

Prior to joining Rage, Carroll formerly held senior development roles at Infogrames (UK) and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Carroll also headed up the 50 strong internal QA department at SCEE Liverpool for a period and has a total of nine years industry experience.

Joining Carroll as external producers are Richard Biltcliffe, formerly external producer at SCEE Liverpool and director of content at mobile gaming company Wanova, and Col Rodgers, formerly head of game development at Jester Interactive, lead AGB programmer at Virtucraft and lead artist at Software Creations.

Biltcliffe has managed numerous projects across all gaming formats over the last several years and has worked within the external development community for the past eleven years, whilst Rodgers has experience in programming, art and project management and has worked on seventeen games on various formats over the past six and a half years.

The new division has a combined total of almost thirty years of game development experience and all have worked across all aspects of the video game production process.

“This new division will be a tremendous asset to Rage as we continue to expand our product portfolio,” commented Colin Bell, Group Development Director of Rage. “I believe that Feargus and his team will give a significant contribution to the future prosperity of Rage as both a developer and publisher.”
