On March 14 – March 15th a deputation of Buka’s top- managers and shareholders visited CENEGA’s headquarters in Prague at the invitation of the top-management of CENEGA. At the meeting, held at CENEGA’s head office, the two companies’ head officers discussed the present day situation on the market for computer and video games in Central and Eastern Europe and the possibilities to collaborate in publishing, dist ther activities, which the games industry involves.
At the meeting, both companies agreed on future cooperation, which is going to exceed far beyond the field of games selling. As it has been concluded, Buka will distribute CENEGA´s titles in Russia and other territories where it has strong competence (mainly Asia), while CENEGA will sell Buka´s titles on its markets (Central and Eastern Europe).
Both CENEGA and Buka will seek products for each other’s territories, and will license products from both Russian and Asian developers and major Western publishers for all the territories, where the two companies have firm positions.
In addition, both companies agreed that they are prepared to cooperate in the field of joint development of new titles, in terms of project management and financing.
The strategic decision of CENEGA and Buka to ally in a number of business spheres will bring new prospects and opportunities for both companies. It will strengthen the companies’ positions in their territories (Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Asia) and give them a new impact for further expansion.
