New World Order - MP Test Update & Boxshot

by Thomas on April 23, 2002 @ 8:09 p.m. PDT

New World Order is a single and multiplayer team-based game where teams battle it out in environments and situations that could be taken right out of an action-movie. It is a fast paced action-simulator with attitude, switching between stealthy game play and adrenalin-pumping action, always keeping the player on his toes - never knowing when all hell will break lose... Right now the game devs' is counting down for the release of the public multiplayer beta, the final release is just a couple of months away…so.. Check out the boxshot below and read more about what Jim Malmros say's about the upcoming release of the public MP test for NWO.

Update.....

As the release of the public MP test for NWO is getting closer and closer, I would like to thank all the fans for their patience and dedication.

NWO is a bleeding-edge game and requires a lot from both drivers and the hardware. We have used the past few weeks to fix a lot of problems, and since this has been a slow process we also have had the opportunity to upgrade a lot of other elements in the game, such as animations and so on.

The delay of the MP test has been very good for NWO. Anyone thinking that it was unprofessional for P3i to delay the MP test needs to get their head examined. In the era of publishers rushing unfinished products out the door, it takes a lot of courage and dedication towards the product, and the fans in the end, to make sure that the games being released, even at a test stage, do not contain bugs that we know of.

We needed to bring NWO to a level where the MP test will bring back useful information about the game dynamics and the overall fun of the game - not reports about bugs we already knew about. We think we have accomplished this now and hope we can announce a final date before the end of the month.

This is going to be fun! I look forward to seeing you all on the servers!
