by Thomas on May 10, 2002 @ 4:12 p.m. PDT

Having seen such success with their previous mobile monitors for PS one and GameCube, InterAct Accessories, Inc., a Recoton company, has developed an 5.6-inch LCD screen to make mobility an option for the Sony PlayStation 2.

The Mobile Monitor 5.6 was made exclusively for the PS2 with custom fitted clips that attach the monitor to the PS2 for a secure fit. The 5.6-inch backlit TFT display fully exploits the graphical prowess of the game system, ensuring that every color, polygon and texture appears just as the game designer intended. The Mobile Monitor 5.6 has two built-in stereo speakers, two headphone inputs and controls for volume, color and brightness. The monitor comes packaged with an AC adapter and a universal 1/8 to RCA style cable for connecting to other devices.

The Mobile Monitor 5.6 which folds down on top of the PS2 when not in use is designed to perfectly match the color and aesthetics of the PS2. The MSRP is $149.99.

InterAct debuted the V-Thunder Racing Wheel at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2002. It will make a command appearance at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The wheel, endorsed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. is designed to work with both PS2 and PS one and has a smaller 8.5-inch auto-centering wheel with rubberized grips. Other features include pressure sensitive analog gas and brake pedals, eight digital fire buttons, analog hand paddles, eight-way digital D-pad, and suction cups to mount wheel to any flat surface. The V-Thunder Racing Wheel has an MSRP of $29.99.
