SOUNDMAX SPX "ANIMATED AUDIO" HELPS LEAD ELITE FORCES: NAVY SEALS INTO BATTLE
Analog Devices' Audio Rendering Software Adds Enhanced Sound to ValuSoft's First-Person Shooter
"When Navy Seals players join the conflict, they will be instantly immersed in an action filled world of weapons, combat, and mayhem" said Bryan Ekman, vice president and art director, Jar Head Games. "SoundMAX SPX gave us the ability to craft a game that was not only a visual treat, but an audio experience. The unique sounds of every footstep and surface will further immerse the player in the world of Elite Forces: Navy Seals."
Elite Forces: Navy Seals places the player in a new era of world conflict, where only one team has the cunning, speed and lethal weapons to eliminate the latest enemy of the state. Gamers will arrive by sea, land and air prepared for unconventional warfare, counter-guerilla tactics and clandestine operations in the most turbulent hot spots in the world. During the action, gamers will utilize their eight weapons to battle enemy soldiers, jeeps, tanks and helicopters as they fight to recover opposition warheads, recover a spy satellite and rescue terrified hostages.
"Navy Seals is a great example of how SoundMAX SPX brings the player closer to the gaming experience," said Beth Doherty, director of business development, Analog Devices, Inc. "By applying our audio technology to their action-packed game, Jar Head and ValuSoft have delivered one of the most intense and realistic-sounding first person shooters to date."
"Partnering with Analog Devices allowed us to provide our talented development team with audio tools to create an immersive game," said Cory Johnson, vice president of development, ValuSoft. "While chasing down enemies through 10 huge 3D levels, the sounds are so realistic that players will be on the edge of their seats with every step."
