'Operation Flashpoint' Compendium Pack

by Thomas on Aug. 28, 2002 @ 4:50 p.m. PDT

ARMA: Cold War Assault is a tactical shooter and battlefield simulator video game.

Delivering great value with a RRP of £34.99,Operation Flashpoint: Game of the Year Edition features Cold War Crisis, the Red Hammer campaign upgrade and the full expansion pack Resistance, which includes a campaign set before Cold War Crisis. The compilation offers gamers a saving of almost £30 against buying the series of games individually.

Developed by Bohemia Interactive Studio, Operation Flashpoint revolutionised the military simulator by enabling the player to control and command not just soldiers of all ranks but also land, sea and air vehicles – both military and civilian – from cars, to APCs, to tanks and even military helicopters.

The series has won much praise for its realism of simulating military conflict situations, even to the extent where the game’s technology has been adapted for the United States Marine Corps to use as a special combat training application called VBS1 (Virtual BattleField System).

Says Michael Hayes, Codemasters’ Marketing Director:
"As the Flashpoint universe expands further, Game of the Year Edition offers new recruits the total package so they can share the full experience with the legions of experienced soldiers in the Flashpoint community.
"Operation Flashpoint: Game of the Year Edition is an excellent complete set for retail and destined to keep Flashpoint one of the strongest brands in the PC games market."

Operation Flashpoint: Game of the Year Edition is set to launch this autumn with a RRP of £34.99.
