Hunters Wanted! Activision Value, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Activision, Inc. is challenging gamers to brave the great North American wilderness and experience the hunt of a lifetime with two new PC games -- Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2004 Season and Cabela's Grand Slam 2004 Trophies. Featuring a wide variety of animals, firearms and authentically recreated hunting locales, both novice and experienced gamers will be challenged and entertained. These titles are currently available in retail stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $19.99 and carry a "T" (Teen) rating by the ESRB.

"Cabela's® Big Game Hunter 2004 Season and Cabela's® Grand Slam 2004 Trophies offer gamers more realism and depth than ever before," stated Patrick Kelly, Vice President of Studios, Activision Value. "Both fans of the franchise and new players will enjoy the games' challenging environments, realistic special effects and authentic action."

Cabela's® Big Game Hunter 2004 Season offers players a realistic and challenging hunting experience with vast environments, multiplayer modes and a wide selection of weapons and terrains. Virtual hunters can trek through the forests of British Columbia or the mountainous regions of Alaska while stalking a variety of species including Dall Sheep, Desert Muleys, Whitetail Deer, Canadian Moose, Polar Bears, Grizzlies, and Wolves. Selecting from an arsenal of firearms, calls, scents and tents, gamers can be outfitted with the latest gear all rendered in full 3D.

Cabela's® Big Game Hunter 2004 Season also features two game modes -- the Career Hunt mode and the Quick Hunt mode -- as well as a challenging new multiplayer feature that will pit virtual hunters against one another. In the Career Hunt mode, gamers attempt to hunt animals successfully to unlock other exciting areas of the game. For gamers looking for a swift challenge the Quick Hunt mode offers single mission-hunting trips on one challenging map.

Cabela's® Grand Slam 2004 Trophies takes gamers to the "Inner Circle" competition of the Safari Club International. Players embark on a hunting expedition through eight realistically recreated hunting regions in North America, from the Appalachian Mountains and Grand Teton, to British Columbia and Alaska. The goal of the quest is to bag 32 game animals and earn the Diamond Medal, the highest honor in this competition. Gamers track Black Bears in the Appalachian Mountains, hunt Canada Lynx in British Columbia, aim for Tule Elk in the Pacific Northwest, and target the Bobcat in Colorado. The game features rifles including, .243, .270, .338, .30-60, Shotguns, Bows and Muzzleloaders, which allows hunters to be ready for action and adventure in a variety of settings.

Catering to differing gameplay preferences, Cabela's® Grand Slam 2004 Trophies offers two play modes. In the Campaign Hunt mode, players must manage every aspect of the hunt from checking in at the staging area and setting up camp, to the actual hunt through eight regions taking the best trophies possible for the highest accumulated score. In the Quick Hunt mode, gamers jump into a game by selecting a region and starting their hunt immediately.

Minimum system requirements for both games are a Pentium 3 450 Mhz with 64 MB RAM, and a 16MB Video Card compatible with DirectX 8. 600 MB of hard drive space is also required.
