"`Cabela's Deer Hunt 2004 Season' includes all of the great aspects of the popular `Cabela's® Big Game Hunter' series, and adds an abundance of new features for the next-generation console systems," stated Patrick Kelly, Vice President of Studios, Activision Value Publishing, Inc., distributor of the titles. "Greater emphasis on the animals is a major addition to the game. Deer now vary in size, interact with each other, search for food and water, and have a greater variety of movement and behavior through an advanced AI system."
"Cabela's Deer Hunt 2004 Season" brings the new hunting season to life, offering outdoorsmen a total of nine different species of deer in nine varying habitats, all created and rendered in full 3D. The game features Coues deer in the Gila National Forest, New Mexico; Fallow deer in Saskatchewan, Canada; Columbian Black-Tailed deer in the Cascade Mountains, Washington; Axis deer in Ozark County, Missouri; Desert Mule deer in the Sonoran Desert, Arizona; Sika deer in Lake Okeechobee, Florida; Rocky Mountain Mule deer in the Grand Tetons, Wyoming; Whitetail deer in Mille Lacs, Minnesota; and Sitka deer on Kodiak Island, Alaska. Virtual hunters will be challenged to use the terrain in each territory to their advantage, and employ such tactics as blending in with the surroundings or luring deer into clearings for a clean shot.
Outfitted in Cabela's® latest gear and armed with an impressive assortment of firearms, gamers are sure to become experts in the hunt. Players can choose from two game types: Quick Hunt -- which allows for a single-mission hunting trip on one map; or Career Hunt -- where sportsmen progress through every mission, during each season, and in all regions. "Cabela's Deer Hunt 2004 Season" adds a new level of realism by allowing gamers to improve their virtual hunting skills over time as they progress through the game.
Furthermore, the Xbox version of "Cabela's Deer Hunt 2004 Season" features highly detailed environments and ultra realistic water graphics. In addition, the game offers Xbox(TM) Live support so gamers can enter their high scores online.
