"We are delighted to be working with Blade, who have created one of the best sports sims in the industry," said Mike Hayes, Managing Director, SEGA Europe Ltd. "The quality of World Snooker Championship is not in doubt, and at SEGA we plan to capitalise on this to create strong sales for the title."
"The 2005 version of Snooker will be the best iteration of this franchise. It now boasts all the professional players on the circuit thanks to our new agreement with World Snooker Ltd," commented Deborah Jones, Joint Managing Director, Blade Interactive. "It is therefore appropriate that SEGA, THE best name in video games, is to publish this title. To say I'm excited is a huge understatement".
Blade has confirmed a new exclusive license with World Snooker Ltd, Snooker's governing body. The agreement gives Blade the rights to use the images of all professional players that are a member of World Snooker, along with all tournament names, structures and venues, with the official endorsement and use of the logos of World Snooker Ltd.
