'Crescent Suzuki Racing: Superbikes and Super Side Cars' (PS2) - Screens

by Judy on July 28, 2004 @ 2:42 a.m. PDT

Midas Interactive continues to raise the bar for budget console development by the addition of a whole host of licenses, including the valuable Crescent Suzuki team, to its forthcoming PS2 superbike and sidecar product. Read more for details and screens...

The title, renamed Crescent Suzuki Racing: superbikes and super sidecars, will now feature the current British Superbike Championship leader John Reynolds resplendent in his distinctive Crescent Suzuki team colours.

Crescent Suzuki Racing, which is due for release at the incredible RRP of £14.99 in September 2004, will also give Sony gamers the first chance to drive a super sidecar. The featured teams reads like a "who's who" of British super sidecar talent led by the irrepressible World Champion Steve Webster and his Castrol Suzuki team.

It is unusual for a game that has been specifically developed as a budget game to feature such a comprehensive list of endorsements but, according to UK Sales Manager Sam Collins, it is an integral part of the evolution of the budget market: "Midas budget games have always been recognized as great value for money. However as the market matures we are under pressure to both continually improve the quality of our games and also make sure that the whole gaming experience is as realistic as possible. Crescent Suzuki Racing will be a perfect example of Midas meeting both of these needs"

Only Crescent Suzuki Racing puts you in control of dozens of the meanest superbikes and sidecars on the international circuit, including the GSX-R1000 of current British Superbike championship leader John Reynolds and the fearsome Super sidecar of 2003 world champion Steve Webster.

It's by no means an easy ride though - chicanes, gravel traps and other hazards await you across the sixteen racing circuits and the ruthless skill of your computer opponents is sure to test your racing technique to the limit.

At every stage of the race the game oozes class with more than enough options, tracks and features to put the full price competition in the shade.

The truly amazing thing is that Midas have been able to combine all of this and still retail the game at a budget price.
