About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

ShellShock: Nam '67 depicts the reality of the Vietnam War for the first time in a video game. You take on the role of a rookie soldier on his first tour of duty as he experiences the fear and chaos of the most controversial war of modern times. From napalm bombardments and Viet Cong booby traps, to the permanent threat of invisible foes and deadly ambushes, ShellShock: Nam '67 delivers a realistic portrayal of the terror of combat.

Get the Void Wars Trailer off WP (11mb)

In Void War, you pilot a star-fighter in multiple space battlefields in a fight to prove who is "Top Gun" in the void of space. You'll face increasing levels of challenge, including special bonus levels with unique game play challenges, and lethal "boss" ships with a devastating array of weaponry. You'll need every trick in the book to succeed, dodging through asteroids, pulling slingshot maneuvers around hypergravity wells, and diving into vapor clouds to hide from enemy sensors and missile guidance. Thread your way through construction yards at high speed as inertia threatens to maintain your velocity while you spin and shoot your opponents.Once you feel you've mastered the single-player game take your skills online, fighting with and against real human pilots. We'll meet you in the void, pilot!

Get Okami Trailer off WP (23mb)

Players take control of Amaterasu, the mythical sun god in its earthly form of a wolf, and must seek out and defeat these monsters, returning colour and hence life to the area. As a deity, Amaterasu’s power is in part derived from humans believing and this is accomplished in two ways – by bringing colour and life back to areas and by listening to the wishes of the people and fulfilling these desires. The more faith people have the stronger Amaterasu becomes and the easier it will be to defeat the monsters. Okami’s visual style is based on traditional Japanese art. Although a digital reproduction, the developers have ensured that the analog feel of paper plus the delicate calligraphy and pen work of this art form have not been lost. This graphical style also helps set the pace of the game with players encouraged to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Okami’s world rather than rush headlong through the missions.
