In Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2005, players will compete against the legends of golf and use Tiger Proofing to alter the courses in the game en route to becoming a legend of their owvn.
In an all-new Legends career mode, players will create an ultra-detailed golf character (aged anywhere from 8 to 80 using the state-of-the-art GameFace II technology), then take that golfer to the course to earn the chance to tee off against some of golf's greatest legends including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Ben Hogan. Only when players complete the ultimate challenge -- a victory over Tiger Woods himself -- will they become golf legends themselves.
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2005 also gives players the opportunity to experience the real-life phenomenon known as Tiger Proofing, where they will act as golf course superintendents and alter the courses in the game to build the most challenging layouts imaginable. In their quest for legendary status, Tiger Proofing will let gamers change the width and patterns of fairways and greens, the depth of bunkers and rough and even the color of the leaves on the trees to make the courses more difficult, unique and prestigious enough to attract the Legends to come out of retirement and challenge them on their course.
The game has eight new licensed courses including Harbor Town Golf Links, Sherwood Country Club, Fancourt Golf Club Estate and the Ailsa Course at Turnberry Golf Club. It also features 15 different PGA TOUR players including Tiger Woods, PGA Championship winner Vijay Singh, US Open champion Retief Goosen and 14 new fantasy characters. David Feherty and Gary McCord make up an announcing Dream Team, providing their commentary and irreverent observations on every shot. EA SPORTS TRAX returns with songs digitally mixed by DJ BT
