As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday - Armageddon (PC)

Armageddon, the Booster pack for Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday is now available via digital distribution on Gamer's Gate and will retail for $4.99/€4.99. The booster pack includes two completely new alternative history scenarios, new features, and several new game options to further boost the replayability.

Key Features:

  • New attachments for Naval units; do you scrap or upgrade those old ships
  • Land units can now be built with brigades already attached
  • An Air Naval combat system that radically alters the combat balance
  • New damage algorithms for the Air combat system, making organization more important and allowing air units to fight longer.

What would have happened if WWII had continued into WWIII, where the United States as leader of the Allied nations and the Soviet Union under communist rule had faced off against each other? Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday, the stand-alone expansion of the critically acclaimed Hearts of Iron II, lets you find out first hand.
