by Judy on July 12, 2007 @ 1:13 p.m. PDT

Mazes of Fate DS is a blend of 2D global maps with 3D environments featuring 360 degree "free look" and movement controls. All dungeons, monsters, elements, and items are animated in 3D pushing the capability of the NDS, providing a perk for those gamers looking for something special.

"Mazes of Fate is an amazing and timeless piece of work. Gamers will be very pleased with the way this new version will push the power and versatility of the Nintendo DS," said Kenneth Hurley, CEO of both Signature Devices and Graffiti Entertainment.

Exclusive Features:

  • New quests, dungeons, and characters
  • Three new player avatars
  • Several new "vertical" quests to take full advantage of the NDS

The main dungeon mode will feature the 3D view on the bottom screen, allowing for direct interaction with elements of the game. Using the stylus the player can open doors, pick locks and pull levers. The top screen will feature character stats as well as a bigger version of the automap. All game screens will accommodate use of the stylus. All dungeons, monsters, elements, and items will be animated in 3D on the DS.

Dimitri Criona, Graffiti Entertainment's Director of Sales, says, "Role Playing Games are one of the most exciting and stable genres for video games. Mazes of Fate for Nintendo DS provides players a 'traditional' RPG through 50 different levels. There is no question that this game will provide even the most avid gamers with many hours of high-quality entertainment."

Mazes of Fate will ship in five languages — English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian, which you can switch between during gameplay using the in-game Options menu.
