In 2003, Ubisoft released its action/adventure Beyond Good & Evil, but sales numbers were disappointing, and the franchise was abandoned. Since the UbiDays 08 teaser, not much has been said, apart from Ubisoft's Michel Ancel revealing that BG&E 2 will be more complex and immersive than the original.

We don’t normally put too much stock in retailer announced release dates, but in some cases the timing is too coincidental to ignore. Although it has yet to be formally announced by Ubisoft, "Beyond Good and Evil 2" has been discussed as being “under consideration” on and off for the last year.

It what might be a prelude to an official E3 announcement, UK retailer Play.com has pre-order listings for "Beyond Good and Evil 2" on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
