Although Western players have been enjoying Saints Row IV since August, the game has yet to hit Japanese shores.
Famitsu reported today that Saints Row IV is making its way to Japan on January 23, 2014, thanks to publisher Spike Chunsoft. The thing is, Spike Chunsoft isn't releasing just the base game. Instead, Japanese players are getting the Saints Row IV: Ultra Super Ultimate Deluxe Edition, which includes the game and an additional 13 pieces of DLC content.
Saints Row IV: Ultra Super Ultimate Deluxe Edition has a MSRP of 5980 JPY, which is about $60 USD.
Getting all of that content in one package sounds like a great deal, but if you want it any time soon, you'll probably have to import it (or end up purchasing all of the DLC separately).
We asked Deep Silver if it had any plans to release Saints Row IV: Ultra Super Ultimate Deluxe Edition in North America and were told that "this edition is the first Japanese release of SRIV ... and for that territory only."
