As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

13. 'South Park: The Stick of Truth' (PS3/X360/PC)

South Park: The Stick of Truth is an epic role-playing adventure that allows the user to befriend Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny and explore the quiet little mountain town.

Mark Buckingham: I'm not even sure why I want this. I just kind of do. South Park games have been very spotty in the past in terms of quality, but while I sometimes decry the more timely trendy focus of the TV show's episodes, the writing and the sarcasm could translate well to a game, if done properly. I'm hopeful this will be something stupid and fun and different than all the gritty, super-serious gray-brown RPGs we've seen over the last few years.

Dustin Chadwell: Despite all the delays and the implosion of publisher THQ, I still have a lot of hope for Obsidian's South Park RPG. Everything shown so far seems to really capture the look and humor of the series, so assuming Obsidian brings its "A" game to the RPG aspect, this has the potential to be one of the best licensed games around. Considering how great The Stick of Truth appears to look, this should be worth checking out.

Brian Dumlao: Delay, delay, delay, new publisher, delay. That seems to be the story for this South Park game. At this point, no one would be surprised if we learned about another delay, but the South Park-meets-Paper Mario RPG style manages to entice with each new gameplay trailer. Unless the developer decides to port this to next-gen consoles, this is definitely a title to anticipate as the current-gen consoles start riding off into the sunset.

Jason Grant: All these years, and "South Park" still manages to be pretty funny stuff. Their games, however, have up until now been no laughing matter. The Stick of Truth looks to change all that with episode-quality writing and a hilarious send-up of role-playing games. If I could bank on any game formula doing the series justice and beyond, it's this.
