As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

10. 'Beyond Good & Evil 2' (PS4/XOne/PC)

Beyond Good & Evil 2 acts as a prequel that will transport players into a profoundly multicultural world, capturing the spirit of the original with unforgettable characters, grandiose decors and intense dramas that play out across a vast universe.

Redmond Carolipio: I feel like we've been waiting forever for this title, so the pressure is on for Ubisoft to deliver. The original gave us a well-rounded female hero supported with one of the better character ensembles and story arcs I've experienced. With the tech available, this seems like a near-impossible property to mess up. Plus, I just missed Jade.

Rhi Mitera: 2020 is looking to be a good year for long-awaited sequels, and Beyond Good & Evil 2 is near the top of that list. The first game came out in 2003, and to this day, it's still my favorite game that Ubisoft has ever published. I'm not sure I'll truly believe it's coming out until I actually have it in my hands, but until that day comes, I'll be watching its development very closely.

Adam Pavlacka: The original Beyond Good & Evil was a refreshing take on the adventure genre that featured a photojournalist as the main character and a talking pig as her sidekick. It sold poorly when released (due to an overcrowded holiday season), but it went on to become a cult classic. The sequel has been rumored for nearly a decade (people were talking about it back in 2011 when the BG&E remaster appeared on PSN and XBL), but nothing was confirmed until E3 2017, when we found out it was actually a prequel to the original game. A tentative release date of 2019 landed this one on our most-wanted lists a year ago, but more delays meant has been persona non grata. Here's hoping that if we don't see a release in 2020, we'll at least get to check out a playable beta.

David Silbert: Ubisoft first unveiled Beyond Good & Evil 2 at E3 2017, and the wait has been nothing short of excruciating. The lack of updates from series director Michel Ancel doesn't help. It's still up in the air as to how far into development BG&E2 is. With next-gen consoles on the horizon, it stands to reason that Ubisoft is incentivized to show its hand sooner rather than later. Will we see Jade and Pey'j in action by the end of 2020? Only time — and perhaps a little convention in June — will tell.
