18. 'Star Wars: Galactic Racer' (PS5, XSX, PC)

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a runs-based, high-stakes reinvention of racing born in the Outer Rim. With the Empire gone and the galaxy rebuilding, The Galactic League is created: an underground, unsanctioned circuit where syndicates bankroll chaos and champions are forged.

Cody Medellin: "Star Wars" and "racing" is a combination that works exceptionally well together, Super Bombad Racing notwithstanding. With the new game coming from some of the people behind the Burnout series and with the game expanding to more than just racing with pods, this looks to be a hit. Now we just need to see some gameplay to see if it can match the speed and overall solid feeling of Episode I Racer.

Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: One of my favorite Star Wars games was Episode I: Racer — and that's due in no small part to the ability to upgrade the mechanics of your podracer as you played through the story mode. Galactic Racer not only teases a similar mechanic but also multiple classes of vehicles to race. Little is known beyond that, but I'm a simple man, and if the game allows for some high-speed racing, I'm interested.

Adam Pavlacka: Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer is widely considered to be one of the best racing games to hit home consoles. It's also more than 26 years old. From what we've seen in trailers, Star Wars Galactic Racer looks to take the Episode 1 Racer DNA and basically go "bigger, better, faster." With veterans of the Burnout and Need for Speed games on the development team, Star Wars Galactic Racer should be able to make the most of its pedigree.
