'EverQuest II' Players Donate To Hurricane Victims

Sony Online announced today that it has added a /donate command to EverQuest II, where player can just type in /donate to be taken to the American Red Cross' Hurricane 2005 relief page. Gamers in the affected areas will get their billing suspended and items & structures preserved. For those members of SOE Communities in other games, you can contribute using this American Red Cross link.

Namco today announced that the official web site for their upcoming turn based strategy game for the GBA, Rebelstar: Tactical Command is now live. The official destination for Rebelstar: Tactical Command on the web, the site features original concept art and screenshots from the game, bios on the game's main characters and official forums where visitors can discuss their favorite strategies with fellow fans.

Revealed a couple weeks ago, but immediately removed, Vivendi today officially announced that Sierra's F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) will be released in a Director’s Edition DVD format, which will include exclusive content, including a Making of F.E.A.R. documentary, a developer’s roundtable commentary video, live action declassified interviews with Alma, and an exclusive F.E.A.R. machinima episode from Rooster Teeth Productions of Red vs. Blue fame.

Federal Appeals Court Rules In The Blizzard v. BnetD Case

Back in June we reported that the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals would hear oral arguments in the Blizzard v. BnetD case, and now the verdict is in. In a 3-0 decision, the court upheld a trial judge's ruling from October, concluding the programmers' circumvention in this case constitutes infringement.
