'F.E.A.R. Director’s Edition' Officially Announced

Revealed a couple weeks ago, but immediately removed, Vivendi today officially announced that Sierra's F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) will be released in a Director’s Edition DVD format, which will include exclusive content, including a Making of F.E.A.R. documentary, a developer’s roundtable commentary video, live action declassified interviews with Alma, and an exclusive F.E.A.R. machinima episode from Rooster Teeth Productions of Red vs. Blue fame.

Federal Appeals Court Rules In The Blizzard v. BnetD Case

Back in June we reported that the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals would hear oral arguments in the Blizzard v. BnetD case, and now the verdict is in. In a 3-0 decision, the court upheld a trial judge's ruling from October, concluding the programmers' circumvention in this case constitutes infringement. Character animation studio Brain Zoo Studios and game developer High Moon Studios announced the receipt of two platinum Aurora Awards for its FPS Darkwatch. The trailer, a collaborative effort between High Moon and Brain Zoo, was recognized for "Best of Show: Use of Animation" and "Best of Show: Entertainment."
