New Zealand Bans 'Postal 2'

The New Zealand Office of Film and Literature Classification has classified the PC game Postal 2 as "objectionable," meaning that it is banned because its availability was "likely to be injurious to the public good."

Atari Appoints New CEO

Atari has appointed entertainment industry veteran James Caparro President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, it was announced today by Bruno Bonnell, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of the Company. Mr. Caparro, who has been a Member of Atari's Board of Directors since February 2002, assumes the responsibilities of the Chief Executive Officer previously held by Mr. Bonnell.

Namco has revealed that it is working on a sequel to its recently released Katamari Damacy. In an investor report on its official website Katamari Damacy 2 was listed as "in development/coming" title, even with a tentative 2005 release date. No additional information was disclosed, but with the cat out of the bag, we could expect an official announcement in the near future.
